The Botnick Law Firm Marches in Shaker Heights’ 2026 Memorial Day Parade

Shaker Heights' 2026 Memorial Day Parade

On Monday, May 25, 2026, The Botnick Law Firm was proud to once again join our neighbors along Van Aken Boulevard for the Shaker Heights Memorial Day Parade. This year marked our fourth consecutive year taking part in one of the community’s most cherished traditions and it was as meaningful as ever.

A Day of Remembrance and Community

Memorial Day is, first and foremost, a day to honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. In Shaker Heights, the day begins with a ceremony at the flagpole in front of City Hall before the parade steps off, traveling east down Van Aken Boulevard and ending at the Van Aken District. This year carried added significance, falling within the city’s year-long America 250 celebration marking the nation’s 250th anniversary.

It’s a morning that brings the whole community together, residents marching shoulder to shoulder and families cheering from the sidewalks. We’re grateful for the opportunity to take part in something that reflects exactly the kind of connected, supportive neighborhood we’re proud to serve.

Showing Up as a Team

This year’s parade was organized by our Community Outreach Committee, the group within the firm dedicated to staying active and involved in the neighborhoods where our clients and colleagues live and work. Our team turned out in freshly printed Botnick Law Firm t-shirts, making it easy for friends, clients, and neighbors to spot us along the route.

And of course, no parade is complete without candy. Our team handed out treats to the kids lining Van Aken Boulevard throughout the route — one of the small joys that makes this event such a highlight of the year for families across Shaker Heights.

Why We Keep Coming Back

Four years in, the Memorial Day Parade has become a tradition we look forward to. It’s a chance to step away from the office, honor those who served, and simply be present in our community — not as a law firm, but as neighbors.

We extend our deepest thanks to the City of Shaker Heights, the veterans and service members honored on this day, and everyone who came out to make the 2026 parade so memorable. We’re already looking forward to year five.
